Can't seem to fall asleep even though you are tired? Have you woken up still tired? Then read on and quickly learn how to sleep better and deeper

Restful sleep is one of the most important factor of our good health. For a starter, good sleep can improve your sex life! Also your cognitive capacity and organs function better after a good night's sleep.

Here are 5 quick ways to guarantee your restful night's sleep.

1. Put your phone away from your bedroom

I am sure you have heard this one before. It is because it is VERY important to limit your screen time before you go to sleep. Your brain cannot shut down like a computer by press of a button. Give yourself at least 30 min before bedtime to turn everything electronic off and put them outside of your bedroom. If you use your phone as an alarm clock, go get yourself a classic alarm clock. If you read Kindle to fall asleep, turn the backlight to very low setting. Yes, that email or WeChat message CAN WAIT till tomorrow morning!

2. Take Epsom Salt bath (candles and music optional, men, it is good for after workout, too!)

Epsom salt is very high in magnesium and sulphate. Magnesium improves muscle and nerve function. It reduces inflammation and increases blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body.. Sulphate is great if you have any skin issues such as eczema, allergy or dry skin. Not only that, Epsom Salt pulls toxins and heavy metals out, detoxifying your body. It also relaxes muscles after workout. Epsom Salt is readily found in pharmacies in Italy and it is called "Sale Inglese". Packets are rather small, however, so if you need bigger quantity order them off amazon.it. Mix it with few drops of your favourite essential oil and you are in a spa at home!

3. Warm tummy

Have you noticed how babies get very warm before they fall asleep? Often times our abdominal area is cold when we are struggling to sleep. Lie down in your bed on your back, ready to fall asleep. Make sure your hands are warm. Put both of your hands on below and above your belly button (also cover the belly button) to warm the area up. Close your eyes and breath slow and deep for 5 - 10minutes until you feel warmth in your belly. You should be quite relaxed and sleepy by the time it is warm.

4. Left nostril breathing

In Yogic tradition, left nostril breathing is believed to activate Ida channel in our body. Huh? What it simply means that when we breath from our left nostril, it helps us to relax and be calm. It is so calming, in fact, that 5 minutes of left nostril breathing is said to lower your blood pressure. You can lie down in bed, block your right nostril off with your right index finger and breath light and long from your left nostril only. Try at least 3 minutes, up to 11 minutes.

5. Pink Himalayan Salt and honey under your tongue

- 5 teaspoons of honey (preferably raw)

- 1 teaspoon of Pink Himalayan Salt (available at NaturaSi in Italy).

Mix the two ingredients together, store in a small jar, place a small amount under your tongue before going to bed and never wake up tired! The honey signals the body to stop producing stress hormones and the salt keeps your adrenaline under control. This mixture is said to refresh your body while you sleep, making you feel totally rested upon waking! So try all or a least 2-3 on the list and let me know how it works for you! Good night and have sweet dream. - now put your phone away! ;-)
